The message for World Water Day 2024 is “Water for Peace.” Every year, World Water Day, coordinated by United Nations-Water, raises awareness and inspires action by providing information and tools individuals can use to help tackle the ever-growing global water and sanitation crisis.

“Water for Peace” emphasizes the importance of international cooperation on our water sources, which has the power to cause a ripple effect, fostering harmony, generating prosperity, and building resilience on shared global challenges; highlighting how climate change, population growth, inequality, and our elected officials are all factors that influence the fight against water pollution and scarcity.

Access to clean drinking water is a human right, intrinsic to every aspect of life. Additionally, protecting and preserving natural water sources is fundamentally important to the health of our planet and any effort taken makes a difference.
